Dona Shields (Sabine) (1988) Hello Shay! I think I got everyone added for my class. If I left anyone out, I apologize and I will fix it ASAP. I will try to be at the meeting on Sunday, but it is my anniversary and we do have plans.

Tammy Elders (Davis) (1986) Hi Shay. I am excited that we have this site and forum to participate in. I have begun getting the word out to other LHS grads. Maybe we will get this filled up very soon. I have also forwarded the site link to my work e-mail, so that when I go back I can forward it company-wide, and hopefully it will find its way to more 80's alumni.

Dona Shields (Sabine) (1988) hello Shay, sorry I wasn't able to make it on Sunday--I just had too much work to get done. I hope it went well. I would like to help with this, but I will not be available until after the new year. Please keep me in mind.

Mark Strickland (1982) Mr. David King is deceased as of approx 2005 or so.

Mark Strickland (1982) FYI... Coach Ray Purvis passed away last Friday, Feb.6th, 2009. He taught biology at LHS for 27 years. Our sympathies go out to his wife and children who are also members of the '80s LHS group.

Mark Strickland (1982) I was wondering about the dress code for the reunion. I suggest informal or casual ie: no suits and/or ties. Let's be relaxed and have fun!What's the general concensus about this???

Hi, Mark!

Glad you brought that up!
I posted the attire as "SUGGESTED ATTIRE: Informal"
That will leave that decision to the person attending to wear what they want. I will be dressing up a little ( a few beads! LOL!) just because I enjoy that kind of event and I bought the perfect little dress for the occasion! :-) I know a few others who are wearing jeans and a dress shirt and/or "Sunday dress".

We are having a very elegant room (black and white with some orange surprises), low lighting, and a scrumptious food buffet.

I know some of our classmates are in the armed services and may want to wear their uniforms, so we won't discourage dressing up a little if wanted.

This is just going to be a FUN evening... I look forward to seeing you there!

Krista Hickey (Risinger) (1987)

I'm not sure who was in charge of adding the class members for 1987, but thank you so much for adding me. I have been wanting to come for a class reunion so bad but was never invited. My cousin told me about the site and said she saw my name on the list. So guess what. I talked to my husband and he said well let's go. So I am coming in from Kentucky on Friday morning and staying through Sunday so I can go to all the events. Great job guys. I can't wait to see everyone.

Just wanted to say hi and am glad i found this site have been wondering about some people. Would like to know what happened to Elizabeth Carroll,and Teresa Cooper, Also on the 1981 class list there are a few who were not in this class one is mlinda carrall, but am so glad you started this site cant come to reunion my work dose not allow me to be off in the school term only in summer and christmas and thanksgiving. I am nothing special just Food service for a privet school and Buss driver for a Privet school Aasociation. But I love my work and would not do anything else. Please let me know if you hear form Elizabeth Carroll or Teresa Cooper

I HAVE JUST FOUND THIS SITE ITS SO AWESOME 2 BE ABLE 2 SEE WHAT THE TEACHERS ARE UP 2 AND SUCH!!!!I AM FROM THE CLASS OF '89 AND WE DO HAVE OUR OWN SITE SIMILAR 2 THIS ONE BUT I WANT 2 THANKU FOR STARTING THIS ONE ALSO!!!! I hope you get the message I am trying to send you for the time people have placed into the reunion. The excitement I am hearing from friends is overwhelming building up to the reunion. Even people I know that are on the fence about going are having second thoughts. I am so ready for the reunion. Go LHS! Beat...who are we playing again? LOL

Susan Hall (Whaley) (1986) Has anyone thought about setting up a webcam for those who can't make it to the reunion? Just a thought. Would be cool to be able to see the reunion and maybe "chat" with those unable to attend.

Just wanted to let you know that Karen Linam Baker passed away earlier this year. Not sure about cause of death, but I do know she was a bad diabetic.

Kay Mann (Chambers) (1983)

Can someone find out if the little girl named Zoe McDonough, who died in the pontoon boat accident last week when the bad gust front came through, is the granddaughter of Barbara Bradford? The paper listed her mom's name as Leah and her grandparents were listed as Frank and Barbara Bradford. I thought Mrs Bradford had a daughter named Leah but I'm not sure if her husband's name is Frank or not.

LaRae Snider (Eveans) (1982)

For those that did not know, Cathy Marie Robinson Ballinger class of 1982 passed away May 20, 2021. She left behind her husband Joe Ballinger and 4 sons, Matt, Rusty, Daniel, and David Ballinger.
